Earth News/ The Parliamentary Services and Reconstruction Committee identified today, Sunday, the only solution to end the housing crisis in Iraq.
Committee member Burhan Al-Maamouri said in a statement received by “Earth News” that “the population expansion exceeded the basic design of the current cities at high rates, which led to a sharp decline in the level of services provided.
Al-Maamouri added, “The only solution to end the housing crisis and the decline in the level of services is to start building residential cities in coordination with major international investment companies.
Al-Maamouri pointed to “the necessity of constructing new highways and bridges, similar to the developed countries, to relieve traffic jams in the capital, Baghdad and the rest of the provinces,” noting “the importance of implementing advanced service facilities throughout the country’s governorates, in a way that contributes to the advancement of this pressing file and alleviates the suffering of citizens.”
