Baghdad - Mawazine News
Today, Sunday, the Parliamentary Finance Committee confirmed that it is in the process of sending a letter to the Ministry of Finance to include a paragraph to confirm the lecturers in the emergency support law, while stressing that the exchange doors for a number of sectors came due to an urgent need to ensure food security and support the development process.
A member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Muhannad al-Khazali, said that "in the last parliament session, President Muhammad al-Halbousi asked a government representative regarding the proposed emergency support law for food security and development, and he answered by not opposing it."
He added, "The Finance Committee needs some time to conduct some ideas on the terms of the proposal, and it is necessary to say that the law that came from the government took a long time, and meetings were held with ministers and officials, amounting to 20 meetings, and the completion rate reached 97%, and the new proposal also needs to mature." .
He added, "The sums written in the exchange sections within the law were not placed haphazardly, but rather for the urgent need to go about the daily affairs of the government, including supporting the ration card at an amount of 8.5 trillion dinars and providing strategic storage from it in light of the global food crisis."
He pointed out that "the law supports the Ministry of Electricity in maintaining and sustaining the stations and ensuring the payment of gas dues and not being cut off by the Iranian side because the cut will affect the processing hours, and hence the importance of legislating the emergency support law."
He stressed that "the sums allocated to the sectors covered by the law were set for urgent need and must be supported and the law divided for food security and development in order to secure Iraq's need for food and revitalize the economy, and with the availability of financial abundance, a year of development should not be wasted."
Regarding the file of the lecturers, Khazali stressed that “converting them to contracts and adjusting the status of employees is of interest to all members of the Finance Committee, and we need the government’s approval, and within two days, a letter will be directed to the Ministry of Finance to ask it about the possibility of adding them to the emergency support law.” Ended 29 / p. 87
