    Yes Iraq: Baghdad

A member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, Faisal Al-Naeli, ruled out that the House of Representatives will proceed in the second reading of the draft emergency support law for food security and development next Sunday, as a result of the law’s incompleteness and its failure to discuss it by the committee.
Al-Naeli stated that the Ministry of Finance was approached to explain all the allocations of the ministries covered by the law, according to the financial exchange system 12/1 and their needs until the end of this year, to see those allocations and their needs for financial additions.
He added, "The political bids on the law failed, especially since if the amounts of the law are reduced to two-thirds, it will be passed by Parliament," stressing the importance of passing it, especially as it includes very necessary and urgent allocations to meet the needs of the citizen, adding that if Parliament fails to approve it, then the law will not be legislated Another, Parliament will remain awaiting the formation of a government that has the ability to legislate laws that have a financial side, and is able to prepare a draft budget law and send it to the House of Representatives for a vote.
The House of Representatives, in its eighth session, which was held on the 19th of this month, in the presence of 270 deputies, completed the first reading of the proposed law on emergency support for food security and development, which aims to achieve food security, reduce poverty, achieve financial stability in light of emergency global developments, continue to provide services to citizens and improve the standard of living for them after the budget law expires, creating job opportunities, maximizing Iraqis’ benefit from state resources, advancing development, and resuming work for stalled and lagging projects due to lack of funding and the progress of new projects of importance. To reach a parliamentary agreement that would allow it to be legislated as soon as possible, according to a statement issued by Parliament.
