    Today, Sunday, the head of the Supreme Judicial Council, Faeq Zeidan, stressed the support for freedom of expression as a constitutional concept, while the head of the Iraqi Media Network, Dr. Nabil Jassim, stressed the need for cooperation between the judiciary and the media in the service of freedom of expression.
    The Supreme Judicial Council said in a statement received by the news agency, "The President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Faiq Zaidan, received today, Sunday, the head of the Iraqi Media Network, Dr. Nabil Jassim," noting that "means of cooperation between the judiciary and the fourth authority were discussed."
    Zaidan stressed, according to the statement, "to support freedom of expression as a constitutional concept that cannot be neglected," calling on the media to "support responsible freedom of speech and work to formulate a balanced objective discourse on a permanent basis."
    While Dr. Nabil Jassem stressed "the institution's commitment to its law in force, which defines the form of its obligations towards institutions and individuals in the Iraqi state, as the network is an institution for public broadcasting and is keen that its discourse be representative of all Iraqis of their various intellectual and ideological affiliations," referring to "the need for cooperation between the judiciary and the media." serving the public interest and freedom of expression.
