The Democrat presents a set of proposals to the Finance Committee, the most prominent of which is the inclusion of Kurdistan’s share of (13.9) in the Food Security Law
Shafaq News/ The head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party bloc, Vian Sabri, presented on Sunday a number of proposals to the Finance Committee, most notably including the Kurdistan Region's share of (13.9) in the Food Security Law.
Sabri said in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency, "Given the economic and living conditions of the Iraqi people, including the citizens of Kurdistan Region, as a result of global conditions and the absence of a general budget for the country for the year 2022, and because the proposed law on emergency support for food security and development includes multiple financial aspects in its articles, we demand the inclusion of the Kurdistan Region's share Of the operational, governing and investment allocations and allocations for the development of the regions by (13.9), according to the population data of the Ministry of Planning. It also called for the inclusion of the financial dues of the farmers of the Kurdistan Region for the years 2014, 2015, 2016, and the allocation of a percentage of all agricultural equipment and fertilizers contained in the allocations of the Ministry of Agriculture in this law to the farmers of the Kurdistan Region, as in other Iraqi governorates.
Sabri called for "providing the necessary financial allocations for the reconstruction of the areas of Article 140 of the Constitution and allocating a fair percentage of them to the afflicted projects of the afflicted debtor of Shingal. Providing the necessary financial allocations to compensate the Yazidi survivors, and including the financial allocations necessary to solve the problems of all lecturers in Iraq."
It also called for "converting electoral contracts into operational contracts and providing the necessary financial allocations to pay their long-suspended dues."
