The Parliamentary Finance Committee revealed the latest amendments and transfers made to the emergency support law, which is awaiting a vote on the House of Representatives session scheduled to be held today.
Committee member Jamal Cougar said, "The emergency support law has been subject to some amendments and additions, and allocations have been reduced, including the addition of 400 billion dinars to the Ministry of Defense, which has been transferred by 200 billion from the Ministry of Agriculture, as well as 200 billion from the Ministry of Trade."
He indicated that "150 billion dinars were allocated in order to cover the purchase of medicines for cancer and thalassemia patients after transferring them from the allocations of the Ministry of Electricity," noting that "15,000 new contracts were allocated for bachelor graduates for three years, with a salary of 300,000 dinars, provided that these contracts are distributed to 15 governorates within the allocations regions development.
He pointed out that "the Food Security Law was divided according to two tables (A and B), as it included Table (A) related to the allocation of 10 and a half trillion dinars, which includes the true face of the Food Security Law related to the purchase of grain, the payment of gas dues, social welfare, and the dues of farmers and vulnerable classes." Pointing out that "there are 14 trillion and a half trillion dinars within schedule (B), it was agreed upon to spend half of the amount, provided that the other half is postponed after the formation of the government."
Representative Jamal Cougar confirmed, "There is almost agreement to pass the emergency support law within the parliament session scheduled to be held today."
