, the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Hakim Al-Zamili, called on Friday, Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi to activate the alternative system, and while he confirmed the imminent interrogation of a number of ministers, he indicated that contracts in electricity and other ministries will be installed in the next budget.
Al-Zamili said in a television interview, which was followed by Mawazine News, that "Parliament made good beginnings with legal legislation criminalizing normalization with the Zionist entity and food security," noting that "the food security law concerns important segments of society."
Al-Zamili added, "Mr. Muqtada Al-Sadr is following up on people's concerns," stressing that "the next stage will be the enactment of important laws that affect the lives of citizens."
He continued, "We are now working to legislate the Social Security Law to guarantee the rights of workers in the private sector."
Regarding the water file, Al-Zamili said that "the neighboring countries have begun to weaken Iraq because of the internal situation," noting that "Turkey is preparing to build another dam in addition to Ilisu."
He explained, "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs did not raise any protest note regarding the water violations by neighboring countries."
Regarding the Food Security Law, Al-Zamili said that "some parties did not get satisfaction in the Food Security Law," stressing that "the paragraphs added in the Food Security Law were not to satisfy parties."
He went on to say, "We are trying to discuss with the Supreme Judicial Council and the Federal Court regarding the budget," explaining: "It was necessary to legislate the Food Security Law to meet people's urgent needs."
He stressed, "8 trillion dinars have been allocated for the development of the regions and 400 billion dinars for the military and security establishment in the Food Security Law," pointing out that "

Regarding the work of the House of Representatives, Al-Zamili pointed to the imminent “interrogation of a number of ministers in the second legislative term,” stressing that “the oil is one of the ministries that will be questioned in the second legislative term,” indicating that the work of the parliamentary committees has been positively activated and has been completed
