    Member of Parliament, Representative Ahmed Rahim, revealed, on Friday, the formation of a field committee on the Turkish invasion.

    Rahim, a member of the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee, said in an interview with "The Information", "The Turkish invasion has caused tragedies and suffering for thousands of families in the Kurdistan region of Iraq for many years, especially as it penetrated tens of kilometers deep into Iraqi territory."
    Rahim added, "The Security and Defense Committee decided to form a field committee to visit all the partitions in which the invasion of the Turkish forces took place, to determine the repercussions of what happened, the size of the tragedy, the damage and the victims, and to record them in a comprehensive report that will be presented in the House of Representatives at the earliest opportunity."
    He pointed out that "the Iraqi people have the right to know more details about the Turkish demand for Iraqi lands, the extent of the suffering of the people and the damages resulting from it."
    Turkish forces have been carrying out a large-scale military operation in the Kurdistan region for weeks, under the pretext of fighting the Kurdistan Workers’ Party.
