Allawi and Romanowski meet.. Washington is looking for new opportunities in Iraq
The Ministry of Finance said in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency, that Minister Ali Abdul Amir Allawi received today the US Ambassador to Baghdad, Alina Romanowski, indicating that the two sides reviewed during the meeting the Iraqi-American bilateral relations, ways to enhance the economic partnership between the two countries and the desire to intensify Cooperation by studying all available opportunities in the fields of investment, finance and economy.
The statement quoted Allawi as saying that the Iraqi government attaches great importance to developing relations with the United States of America in various fields, for the common and long-term interest of the Iraqi and American peoples, explaining that this relationship can achieve further progress, especially in the financial, economic and commercial aspects.
For her part, Ambassador Alina Romanowski expressed, according to the statement, her happiness to work in Iraq, and the United States' commitment to supporting the Iraqi government's reform plans, and looking forward to strengthening the existing relations between the two countries in various fields.
