, head of the Popular Mobilization Authority, Faleh al-Fayyad, confirmed, on Monday, that the fatwa of sufficient jihad changed the course of events and made the nation in Iraq, while noting that the Popular Mobilization "will not be a party to any political battle."
In his speech during the launch of the annual conference to commemorate the eighth anniversary of the launch of the fatwa of sufficient jihad and the establishment of the Popular Mobilization, Al-Fayyad said, "The fatwa of sufficient jihad of the religious authority has achieved a great leap for the Iraqi people, changed the course of events and made the nation, and the crowd will continue to raise the flag of Iraq without any retreat."
Al-Fayyadh pointed out that "the fatwa moved the Iraqi youth from a state of defeat to defiance and confrontation, and created a new spirit for the people to confront the danger looming in Iraq."
In his speech, Al-Fayyadh warned against falsifying public opinion and its effects and dangers to Iraq and its people, stressing that:
He added, "The Popular Mobilization was able to achieve a great victory over the terrorist Daesh, especially since it is from all components of the people and will not be biased towards one group without another," stressing, "We will be honest to carry the trust and protect the Popular Mobilization from any dangers that may surround it."
