    member of the Parliamentary Integrity Committee Ali Turki Al-Jamali revealed, on Thursday, the opening of a file of corruption import deals for foodstuffs within the ration card, indicating that the card file witnessed the import of inferior foodstuffs from unsound origins.

    Al-Jamali said in a statement to "Al-Maalouma", that "the ration card file is one of the files that witnessed corruption operations for 18 years and involved officials in importing expired materials."
    He added that "there are companies contracted with by the Ministry of Commerce that supplied the citizens with inferior foodstuffs and from unreliable origins," noting that "the next legislative term will witness the opening of many files related to suspicions of corruption in the work of the Ministry of Commerce."
