    Barzani strongly criticized the federal government threats of foreign
    oil companies operating in the region, calling on the government of
    Baghdad to proceed to dialogue to resolve the companies' payments
    problem.

    He described in a press statement: "that the proposal
    submitted by Baghdad to Exxon Mobil to choose either Kurdistan or the
    south area of Iraq ,as very wrong because oil fortune belong to Iraq as a
    whole.

    Barzani went to say : "The oil companies operating in
    Kurdistan region are aware very well the legal and constitutional rights
    of the region set forth in the Constitution, therefore they contracted
    with us. / End
