, Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi chaired, today, Tuesday, the twenty-fourth regular session of the Council of Ministers, during which the general conditions in the country were discussed, and a number of basic issues were discussed, especially in the economic, security and service aspects.
At the beginning of the session, Al-Kazemi referred to the exceptional circumstances in which the current government was formed, the challenges it faced in its work, and its focus on the service side with regard to the needs of citizens, the last of which was laying the foundation stone for a thousand schools throughout Iraq within the Iraqi-Chinese agreement, out of a total of eight thousand schools that will be built on Three stages.
The Prime Minister reviewed his successful official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Republic of Iran, which included discussions on a number of common issues regarding the economy, energy and food security, and Iraq's role in taming the atmosphere for the stability of Iraq and the security of the region.
He hosted the Cabinet in charge of managing the Ministry of Health, which presented a detailed report on the Corona pandemic, as the country is witnessing a new wave that has caused an increase in the number of daily infections.
He pointed out that the effective solution lies in the citizens' commitment to preventive measures, and taking the vaccine from the approved outlets, and indicating that the ministry has prepared all its cadres and health institutions and provided the necessary medical supplies.
The Cabinet discussed a number of files related to the work of the Ministry of Health, including the appointment of medical and health professionals, and issued the following decisions:
First / The Ministry of Finance financed an amount of (1,6942,3803000) dinars to the Ministry of Health for the appointment of medical and health professionals, who are covered by the Medical and Health Progression Law (6 of 2000) and its amendments, from the total actual expenditures at the level of the state or the Ministry of Health, in implementation of the aforementioned paragraphs (1 and 2) In the letter of the Federal Office of Financial Supervision No. (1/1/15/2443) dated February 3, 2021, attached to the Cabinet Resolution (15 of 2022).
Second / Approval of the recommendations of the minutes of the (26th) meeting of the Diwaniyah Order Committee (45 of 2018) concerned with developing the necessary ways, mechanisms and solutions for the completion of public hospital projects.
Thirdly, the Ministry of Finance financed the Ministry of Health with an amount of (45,000,000) dollars, forty-five million dollars, for a project for neonatal intensive care services.
The Council of Ministers approved the recommendations of the Committee to Study the Reality of Entry of Goods and Goods and the Procedures for Importing Eggs and Chickens, composed according to Cabinet Resolution (109 of 2022), to protect the national product after discussion and amendment by the Prime Minister’s Advisor for Economic Affairs, Chairman of the Committee; This decision will be implemented starting from 15/7/2022.
The Council of Ministers continued to discuss the topics on its agenda, and issued the following decisions:
First/ Forming a committee headed by a representative of the Ministry of Finance, and with the membership of representatives from the ministries: (Planning, Higher Education, Scientific Research, and the Ministry of Education), and the Federal Public Service Council. In accordance with Cabinet Resolution (315 of 2019), amended by Cabinet Resolution (337 of 2019), the appointment of the top graduates and certificate holders from among graduates, and its recommendations are submitted to the Prime Minister for decision.
Second / Approval of the recommendation of the Ministerial Council of Energy (22 for the year 2022), according to the following:
- Extension of the validity period of the amended Cabinet Resolution (318 of 2019) for type (G) cement until Iraqi factories obtain an (API) certificate, for the necessary need for naming wells, and for the use of the Basra Oil Company exclusively, and specifying the quantities of cement required from the aforementioned company, Provided that there is competitiveness in the processing.
