The leader in the coordination framework, Fadel Mawat, confirmed that the framework's candidate for prime minister will be the leader of the State of Law coalition, Nuri al-Maliki.
Mowat said, today, Wednesday, that Nuri al-Maliki's autopsy for this position will gather the opinions of the blocs of the coordination framework, as he is the only person capable of dealing with the problems that the country is going through at the present time. As he put it, he
added, that in the event that the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Patriotic Union do not agree on a personality for the position of the presidency, the opinion of the Patriotic Union will be taken into account.
And he indicated, that the two parties will be asked to present their candidates in the House of Representatives to be voted on one of them, stressing, “The framework will go with the candidate of the National Union.”
