Today, Thursday, the Ministry of Communications confirmed the ministry's projects to improve the telecommunications service.
Ministry spokesman Raad al-Mashhadani said in a statement to the "National News Center", "The Ministry of Communications is working to complete the Fiber to Home project to return the landline phone to all Iraqi homes."
And he indicated that "the project includes 17 governorates, except for the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, where the capital, Baghdad, was calculated as two governorates instead of one, while the project started from the Karkh side, from the Al-Adl district, to the Al-Hurriya area, the Daoudi and Al-Khadra exchange."
He added that "the turnout is remarkable and reached 55 thousand subscribers to the service, where the cost of calling within the governorate from one phone to another reaches 5 dinars, while it reaches 15 dinars from one governorate to another, and to mobile phones only 50 dinars."
