    A close associate of the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, revealed, on Saturday, 10 new reasons for the withdrawal of the Sadrist bloc from the House of Representatives.

    He added that "the withdrawal was tantamount to (the victor's withdrawal).. God hears and sees while he is in the highest view.. Oh God, accept this sacrifice from us," explaining that "the withdrawal is a moral aspect, as he abandoned the world for the sake of obedience to God and love of the homeland."
     
    He pointed out that "may the withdrawal be a lesson for others not to cling to money, power, fame, chairs and positions," noting that "(Al-Sadr's family) are great in obedience, asceticism, piety, love of others and love of the homeland, not politics, government and parliament, and that the steadfastness of lovers and their conviction in the decision and their unity around their leader and not disperse them. And their dispersal even after the decision to withdraw means a lot to them and will enrage many enemies and opponents, and indicates that it is an ideological base that is neither utilitarian nor worldly, and it differs from other popular political bases, if any."

    Al-Iraqi considered the withdrawal "a step to save the homeland... and it was necessary before God and the people... so is anyone preaching?"
