State of Law Representative Muhammad Chihod confirmed, on Saturday, that the possibility of nominating Nuri al-Maliki to take over the duties of the prime minister is very possible.
Chihod said in an exclusive interview with Mawazine News Agency, that there is a strong possibility to re-nominate the head of the State of Law coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, for prime minister, especially since the next stage is important and difficult and has serious challenges.
He added, that this stage needs a person who is able to manage files, especially on the service side.
"The State of Law coalition will hold an expanded meeting tomorrow, Sunday, to choose the bloc's candidate for the position of prime minister in accordance with the specifications and standards set by the coordination framework meeting, including Shiite independent representatives," said coalition deputy, Alia Nassif.
