Away from Al-Maliki and his coalition.. Coordinating Committee sets new nomination mechanisms for the next prime minister
Shafaq News/ The Shiite coordination framework set, today, Tuesday, new nomination mechanisms for the position of the next Iraqi prime minister.
This came during a meeting that was limited only to the “Wisdom” parties headed by Ammar al-Hakim, Badr led by Hadi al-Amiri and Nasr led by Haider al-Abadi, as well as the Supreme Council.
The meeting was not attended by Nuri al-Maliki, leader of the State of Law coalition, or any of the coalition members, according to an informed source.
The source told Shafaq News Agency, "The leaders of the first line in the coordination framework held a meeting this evening at Ammar al-Hakim's house, with the exception of the State of Law coalition."
He explained, "The meeting discussed the political situation and the formation of the government as soon as possible," noting that "the agreement became a mechanism for the nomination and selection of the candidate for the position of Prime Minister."
And he indicated, "The selection of the candidate for the Prime Minister was decided, according to the meeting, to be either by consensus between the coordination framework and allied with them, or by voting within the general body, the coordination framework."
He explained, "The coordination framework is moving towards producing a national government," stressing that "the features of forming a government will be at the end of July through voting on the candidate for the post of President of the Republic assigning the framework candidate to form a government."
And earlier today, Tuesday, an informed political source said that the rule of law is discussing the names of three deputies, for the position of the first deputy speaker of parliament, after Hakim al-Zamili resigned from the position following the withdrawal of the Sadrist movement from the political process.
He pointed out that the State of Law is considering the nomination of one of the names, Atwan Al-Atwani, Muhammad Al-Sayoud, and Muhannad Al-Khazraji.
And yesterday, Monday, a source in the coordination framework that includes all Shiite forces except for the Sadrist movement, which seeks to form the next government, revealed that the competition is limited to three candidates for prime minister, and indicated that the leader of the state of law, Nuri al-Maliki, will withdraw from the nomination for the position, along with the imminent nomination of a candidate for the position of first deputy. to the Speaker of Parliament.
