A meeting between Al-Halbousi and the heads of the political blocs to determine the session for the election of the "president"
Shafaq News/ A parliamentary source said today, Monday, after a meeting between the parliament presidency and heads of political blocs, to agree on setting a date for holding a session to elect the president of the republic.
The source told Shafaq News Agency, "The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Muhammad al-Halbousi and his deputy, Shakhwan Abdullah, in the constitutional hall inside the parliament building."
The source added that "the meeting, which is being attended by the heads of the parliamentary political blocs, or their representatives."
The coordination framework, which includes all Shiite forces except for the Sadrist movement, called last Friday for the Iraqi parliament to convene this week and elect a president in preparation for the formation of the next federal government.
