Iran praises Iraq's efforts to bring regional views closer and consolidate stability
Shafaq News/ On Monday, Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Amir Abdollahian praised Iraq's efforts and its role in strengthening regional dialogues to consolidate stability and security in the region, while stressing Tehran's readiness to continue coordination with Baghdad on common issues.
Iranian media reported that Abdullahian discussed with his Iraqi counterpart Fouad Hussein, in a phone call, some issues of common interest in the field of bilateral relations as well as some regional issues, including the course of talks between Tehran and Riyadh.The Iranian minister expressed his appreciation for Iraq's efforts and constructive role in shaping and strengthening regional dialogues in order to enhance stability, security and development in the region, stressing Iran's readiness to continue coordination and exchange of views with his Iraqi counterpart in order to follow up on issues of common interest in bilateral and regional dimensions.
In turn, the Iraqi Foreign Minister indicated that Iraq attended the recent Jeddah summit, indicating that the Iraqi government had held the necessary discussions and consultations for regional cooperation at the Jeddah summit, and that Baghdad would continue its efforts to promote peace and stability in the region.
