The framework meeting ends with "flexibility" from Al-Maliki and Al-Amiri to choose the personality of the Prime Minister
A source familiar with the meeting told Shafaq News Agency that the head of the State of Law coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, and the leader of the Fatah Alliance Hadi al-Amiri had shown "high flexibility" to facilitate the task of choosing the right person.
The source explained that the framework meeting ended with an agreement to form a committee to discuss the names nominated for the position of prime minister, indicating that al-Maliki and al-Amiri showed high flexibility to facilitate the task of choosing the new prime minister.
The source revealed that it was decided that the committee would submit its report to the framework within 24 hours, which in turn will meet tomorrow.
Earlier today, the coordination framework, which brings together the Shiite political forces, held a meeting to decide the candidate for prime minister during the next stage, at the home of the President of the Supreme Council, Hammam Hammoudi.
Sources from within the coordination framework revealed, on Saturday, some details of their meeting at the home of the leader of the Wisdom Movement, Ammar al-Hakim, which indicated a split between the Shiite political forces affiliated with the framework regarding the nomination of the leader of the Law Coalition, Nuri al-Maliki himself, for the position of prime minister of the next Iraqi government.
