A new global ranking .. the Iraqi passport is the worst Arab in the year 2022
Shafaq News/ The global consulting company "Henley & Partners" issued a new list on the passports arrangement for the countries of the world, as Iraq was, as usual, among the worst Arab passports with which to travel.
The UAE passport came as the strongest Arab passport, and it ranked 15th globally, far ahead of the second Qatari passport in the Arab world, with 57th globally, then the Kuwaitis in 59th globally, then the Bahraini in 66th globally, followed by the Saudi and Omani passports in 68th globally. .
Then the list included the Tunisian passport, followed by the Moroccan, then the Algerian, then the Egyptian, then the Jordanian, and then the Lebanese, Sudanese and Libyan.
According to the company's report, Afghanistan came at the bottom of the index again, with only 27 destinations without the need for a prior visa.
Japan ranked first in that list as the best passport in the world for the year 2022, ahead of Singapore and South Korea.
Japan offers its citizens visa-free or visa-on-demand access to 193 destinations worldwide, compared to 192 destinations for Singapore and South Korea.
Germany and Spain came in third place with 190 destinations, followed by Finland, Italy and Luxembourg with 189 destinations, then Austria, Denmark, the Netherlands and Sweden in fifth place with 188 destinations.
France, Ireland, Portugal and the United Kingdom ranked sixth, while New Zealand, the United States, Belgium, Norway and Switzerland ranked seventh.
Australia, Canada, the Czech Republic, Greece and Malta ranked eighth, while Hungary ranked ninth, and Tuina, Poland and Slovakia ranked tenth.
The report showed that the Iraqi passport ranked second to last with only 29 international destinations, followed by the passports of Syria, Pakistan, Yemen, Somalia, Nepal, the Palestinian Authority and North Korea.
Because of the invasion of Ukraine, Russian passport holders are more isolated from the rest of the world than ever before, according to the report.
The network indicated that the index does not take into account temporary restrictions or the closure of airspace, which means that the Russian passport is currently ranked 50th on the index, with access to 119 destinations, the fact is that Russian citizens are currently prohibited from entering many of those destinations.
