, head of the political body of the Sadrist movement, Ahmed Al-Mutairi, confirmed today, Friday, that the leaks attributed to Al-Maliki show his disdain for the religious authority and are intended to sow discord among the followers of the same sect.
Al-Mutairi said in a statement received by Mawazine News, a copy of it, that "the leaks attributed to Al-Maliki are intended to sow discord among the followers of the same sect, especially since Al-Sadr's followers are many and widespread, but the wisdom of the leader Muqtada Al-Sadr prevented sedition."
And he added, "His mention of the conspiracy and his living this lie, especially as he will ally with those he accused of conspiracy and Israeli-Gulf workers - as he claims -, so that everyone seeks power, even at the expense of values and principles."
and that "
Al-Mutairi stressed that "the speaker of al-Maliki underestimated the religious authority and he knows that it rejects him by saying (the tried is not tested), whether in his person or with his idea and system."
He pointed out that "the leaks and it is true that he said that they were fabricated against him - and this is a remote possibility - we have heard such words from him over and over again, and that this talk is circulating among most of those who are now opposed to forming the government from the framework, so how can he fabricate what is adopted by him and by them."
Al-Mutairi concluded the statement, "This leak was intended to destroy the country and kill the people. The government, the respected judiciary and the security authorities must find out from this. If it is a lie and fabrication, it must bring the perpetrators to justice, and if it is true and honest - and this is expected - it must bring the speaker to justice." Ended 29/PM 99
