Al-Araji said in a statement, "For nine months, the political process has been witnessing a blockage that has harmed the interests of the people and the nation, and I believe that the nation deserves sacrifice. So I thank the esteemed [url=https://www.alsumaria.tv/Entity/2283190133/%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%84%D8%AC%D9%86%D8%A9 %D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A5%D8%B7%D8%A7%D8%B1%D9%8A%D8%A9/ar/]Framework Committee[/url] that nominated my name for the position of prime minister, and here I announce my apologies for accepting the nomination."
Al-Araji offered "my highest thanks and appreciation to all the Iraqi people, representatives and political blocs that announced their support for us," expressing his hope that "the brothers in the framework will make their choices for the benefit of the people and the country."
And a source from within the coordination framework had previously revealed, today, Sunday, two names that will be put forward by the framework to occupy the position of prime minister.
The source told Alsumaria News, "The coordinating framework will present next Monday the names of Qassem Al-Araji and Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani, so that one of them will be chosen for the position of prime minister."
