The government approved a number of measures that it said would change the reality of the free lecturers, in addition to the graduates of the oil institutes affiliated with the ministry.
The Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Hamid Al-Ghazi, touched on the amendment of the salary scale, in addition to resolving the fate of thousands of free lecturers, and said: The ceiling of their salaries, with wage earners and contract holders, will change, after they are included in Resolution 315.
Al-Ghazi added, during a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that, in accordance with the Law on Emergency Support for Food Security, “the Council of Ministers presented the issue of lecturers, wages and contracts to adapt their status within Resolution 315,” noting that “a committee of the ministries of finance, planning and electricity is working on this after submitting Final report to the Prime Minister. Al-Ghazi stated that "the service, numbers, competencies and amounts of money required from institutions will be calculated, within the law of emergency support for food security, so that the minimum salary of the employee will be 350 thousand dinars, up to 700 thousand dinars, because most employees, especially in service departments, have low salaries."
Regarding the salary scale adjustment, the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers made it clear that it is among the government's priorities, and was sent to the House of Representatives for approval.
