Al-Kazemi said in a speech during laying the foundation stone for the installed Anbar power plant project in the Al-Furat district in Anbar Governorate, and received by Earth News, “I thank all the cadres of the Ministry of Electricity, whether in the production sector or in other supporting sectors, and I especially mention the cadres working on this site.” And under these weather conditions and high temperatures, all thanks and gratitude to these national efforts,” noting that “their performance of duty is appreciated and respected by citizens, and it enhances people’s confidence in the government, and confirms that it is working to develop services and dedicate its efforts; In order to provide a decent life for all Iraqis.”
He added, "We took it upon ourselves from the first moment of this government to work in all difficult circumstances, and to turn challenges into opportunities for success," noting that "we worked in very difficult and complex social, security and economic conditions."
He continued, "Everyone mentions the conditions of the Corona pandemic and its repercussions on the economic situation and the beginnings of the collapse in the Iraqi economy, but we expressed the determination to belong to this country, and with the determination of our convictions to be servants to this people," noting that "according to International Monetary Fund estimates, the Iraqi economy is witnessing growth and stability. Notable in a world experiencing economic crises, and we will continue to work and provide all services to our people.”
He stressed, "We worked, even in the complex political conditions we are currently living in, with great effort and that this political crisis would not be reflected in the lives of citizens and the provision of services to them." to overcome all obstacles and challenges facing the government’s work.”
He stated, "We entered a new phase and took a decision to change the name of the ministry from (electricity) to (electricity and alternative energy), and we worked to support the ministry with everything it needed, and provided conditions with a young leadership that gave them the opportunity and began to innovate in providing services and developing the electricity sector," explaining, "We succeeded." In the process of electrical interconnection with neighboring countries, which will have a great reflection in providing energy to our people at reasonable and cheap prices, as well as benefiting from Iraq being a corridor for the countries of the world through this electrical connection.”
And he said, "Iraq may be too late in catching up with this process and integration with neighboring countries, but in the end we reached this link, which will be reflected in the coming years on Iraq's capabilities to produce electric power," noting that "we succeeded in the end by opening the doors to cooperation and economic exchange with countries of the region, and we will continue so that this reflects positively on the lives of citizens.”
Al-Kazemi stressed that "our people are watching, understanding and aware of the level of difficulties you face in the electricity sector, the size of the efforts made by the ministry, and the government's support; To provide services and develop its production capabilities, and our people have all the love, gratitude and thanks to the ministry’s staff and all workers in this sector,” noting that “our people distinguish well between those who bid in the media and those who work silently for Iraq and serve Iraq, and know who is in the field and who works.” In these difficult circumstances.”
He added that "the electricity sector is not only waiting for new projects, but it needs "corrective" projects for the track and suffers from a real problem in planning," noting that "we are waiting for new projects to advance this ministry and present a new vision for Iraq and the Iraqis."
Al-Kazemi expressed his regret, “when this sector has suffered from poor planning   , chaos and corruption more than others; Which made people’s lives difficult in light of the scarcity of productive energy,” noting, “We see today the work of the ministry, and every day and every week there is a project and the beginning of planning for alternative energy projects.”
He continued, "The first was to pay early attention to alternative and renewable energies, as it is not a fad, but rather an inevitable one of the imperatives of climate change, the impact of water scarcity, and the increase in carbon emissions, and that there be alternative energy through solar energy and other projects," stressing that "the government will continue With the support of the Ministry of Electricity in all its sectors.”
Al-Kazemi expressed that “we will soon see a new government that performs its duty and provides services in a better way,” stressing “the need for a budget that contributes to supporting the process of providing services to citizens.”
