Al-Kazemi is surprised by an order and monitors disturbing indications: We carried the slogan of silence
Shafaq News/ Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi said on Thursday that the accelerating events taking place in Iraq in light of the current political differences represent a worrying indicator of stability and social peace.
Al-Kazemi said in a statement that his government has been dedicated to establishing stability and societal peace since taking office in May 2020.
He added that over the past two years, the government followed a calm and patriotic pattern in dealing with various political crises, prioritizing the public interest over private interests, and focusing its professional efforts on preserving people's security and interests, and avoiding engaging in political polemics.
From this point of view, the government expresses its astonishment at the continued attempts to immerse it in the details of political crises, even after entering the stage of conducting business, and its announcement, since the day after the elections, to take all measures to hand over the duty and responsibility to the government that is formed according to constitutional contexts.
He added, "As the government renews its appeal to all political forces not to overthrow political crises on them, but rather to adopt a constructive dialogue approach to address differences and get the country out of a state of impasse, it calls on everyone to understand the critical and sensitive situation in which Iraq stands today, and to prevent the country from being plunged into a security crisis." or social conditions amid complex regional and international circumstances.
He pointed out that "Iraq has been able to recover after great suffering and sacrifices, and everyone must preserve what has been achieved, and support the government and its institutions, and the security and military forces to carry out their duties in ensuring security stability."
He continued, "We carried the slogan of silence and not to engage in political confrontations and refused to respond to the unjust accusations and smear campaigns, and we maintained the independence of the government in political and electoral competition by not participating in the elections that took place in October 2021; to protect the elections from any accusation. Or interpretation, and yet the accusation and misinformation machine did not stop trying to distort this national role, and to challenge the government’s impartiality and credibility on every occasion, and without objective reasons.”
He said, "The government calls on everyone to confront crises and disputes in the spirit of national dialogue under the roof of one nation, to be wise in interpreting events, and not to build on assumptions, theories and assumptions that have nothing to do with the truth."
And he concluded his speech, the security of Iraq and the safety of its people is a trust that must be preserved.
