Nearly 4 billion dollars in sales of the Central Bank of Iraq in a month
Shafaq News/ The Central Bank of Iraq's sales of hard currency to the US dollar during the month of July amounted to nearly 4 billion dollars.
The economic correspondent of Shafak News Agency stated that the Central Bank sold during the month of July in the days when it opened its auction to buy and sell US dollars 3 billion and 953 million and 313 thousand and 919 dollars at a rate of 263 million and 554 thousand and 261 dollars per day, down from last June, which The average sales amounted to 265 million 956 thousand and 139 dollars.
He added that most of the sales exceeded $260 million during the month of July, pointing out that the bank stopped conducting the auction for five days due to Eid al-Adha.
Our correspondent indicated that most of these sales went in the form of remittances abroad to finance foreign trade, while the selling price of the dollar transferred to bank accounts abroad, in addition to the cash sale, amounted to 1460 dinars per dollar.
