Baghdad / Obelisk: A member of the Kurdistan Justice Party, Rebwar Muhammad Amin, confirmed on Thursday, August 11, 2022, that yesterday's meeting in Erbil, which included the Kurdish parties and in the presence of the United Nations representative in Iraq, Jenin Blaskhart, did not bring anything new.
Amin said in a statement followed by the obelisk, that "it is clear that the Kurdistan Democratic Party does not want to hold the elections except according to what it wants," adding that "other Kurdish parties want to hold the elections after an amendment to the electoral law and that the districts will be multiple."
And he continued, "The President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Bafel Talabani, threatened the regional government if the service conditions in Sulaymaniyah were not reformed."
The meeting of the Kurdish political parties and the representative of the United Nations, Jenin Plasschaert, began under the supervision of the President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, who is discussing the file of holding the upcoming parliamentary elections in the Kurdistan region.
