Iran has started the process of building the largest solar power plant with a capacity of 300 megawatts in the Rafsanjan Special Economic Zone of Kerman Province, southeast of Iran.
The public relations of the Rafsanjan Special Economic Zone announced the start of a 300 megawatt solar power plant project in the Special Economic Zone of this city, in the presence of the CEO of the National Iranian Copper Industries Company and representatives of the people of Rafsanjan and Anar in the Islamic Consultative Assembly.
Ali Fahimi, Director of Construction Affairs of the Power Plants of the Sargshmeh Copper Complex in Rafsanjan, said: This solar power plant will be built in line with the commitment of the National Iranian Copper Industries Company and the Sargseh Copper Complex to the cause of social responsibilities and environmental protection.
He added: This station will be built in two phases, the first phase will reach 25 megawatts and the additional stage will reach 300 megawatts.
Fahimi indicated that this plant is expected to be able to launch and connect to the national grid within 18 to 24 months from the time the power plant contractor is selected. Done/25 d
