On Wednesday, the director of al-Sadr's office in Najaf, the leader of the Sadrist movement, Halim al-Fatlawi, accused parties in the coordination framework that includes Shiite political forces of running "secret networks" that stole billions of dollars from the Iraqi state treasury.
Al-Fatlawi said in a post on social media today, “The ominous framework trinity is far from what they brag about regarding the legitimacy of the state, its constitution, its institutions, and the interests of the people. Senior officials, businessmen, politicians and corrupt state employees have withdrawn billions of dollars from the public treasury.”
He asked, "Doesn't this talk call the Iraqi judiciary to carry out its duties towards its homeland and steal the food of its people?"
