    [size=45]On Friday, Wasit Governorate Police Directorate denied what was published on social media that there was an attempt to assassinate Representative Wafaa Al-Shamri, a member of the Iraqi parliament from Wasit Governorate, last night.[/size]
    [size=45]The directorate said in a statement that there is no truth to the news promoted by some social media sites about the existence of an assassination attempt on Representative Dr. Wafaa Al-Shamri, a member of the Iraqi parliament.[/size]
    [size=45]Wasit police confirmed that these are just rumors aimed at confusing the security situation and we call on citizens to stay away from such false news and not to publish and promote it.[/size]
    [size=45]The directorate stressed that it imposes its control and reassures the citizens that the security forces are working day and night to maintain security and stability and protect them from outlaws.[/size]
    [size=45]Regarding the details of the incident that MP Al-Shammari was exposed to, Wasit police indicated that “there were three unidentified people driving a (Sonata) wheel who harassed the MP’s wheel on the highway (Kut_Baghdad) when they were coming from Baghdad Governorate,” explaining that “the three people The harassing and stalking from the Al-Suwaira intersection to the Hafrya gas station, and the deputy and the wheel were not exposed to any incident.[/size]
    [size=45]The statement continued, "An official news has been submitted, and efforts are being made by the Wasit Governorate Police Directorate to find out the perpetrators."[/size]
