Today, Sunday, the Parliamentary Education Committee denied that the next academic year would be affected by the tense political situation in the country, while ruling out the printing of textbooks in foreign presses outside Iraq.
A member of the Parliamentary Education Committee, Tohma Al-Lahibi, said that “the political situation affects the course of life in the whole country, but it will not affect the educational aspect,” pointing out that “the committee will work with the Ministry of Education as much as possible, provided that the educational situation is not specifically affected.”
Al-Lahaibi added, “The Ministry of Education’s directive is to print school books through government presses. A foreigner in all countries is unlikely.”
