Shafaq News/ An informed source from within the comprehensive coordination framework for all Shiite political forces, except for the Sadrist movement, revealed, on Wednesday, that the framework sought to form a quinquennial committee that does not include Nuri al-Maliki and Qais al-Khazali, to address the dialogue with the prominent cleric Muqtada al-Sadr, indicating that the committee will include alongside The framework leaders are prominent Kurdish leaders.
The source told Shafaq News Agency, "The coordinating framework forces consider and seriously consider the proposal of the leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Massoud Barzani, which includes the formation of a committee that includes representatives or leaders of the active forces in the political scene that take it upon themselves to go to Al-Hanana, Al-Sadr's residence, and negotiate with him about his demands." Persuading him to engage in dialogue.
He added, "This matter is conditional on Al-Sadr withdrawing his followers from the Green Zone completely to prove goodwill and thus pave the way for an official delegation to go to Al-Hanana to engage in direct dialogue and prepare for the dialogue table in Baghdad."
The source added, "The committee to be formed will include 5-6 important figures from prominent leaders, including the leader of the Al-Fateh Alliance Hadi al-Amiri, Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein representing the Democratic Party, and the leader of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Bafel Talabani, in addition to leaders accepted by al-Sadr."
The source pointed out that "the leader of the state of law, Nuri al-Maliki, and the leader of the Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq movement, Qais al-Khazali, will not be part of the aforementioned committee."
The source relied on that "the committee to be formed might have the solution to get the Sadrists out of the last impasse over the sit-in of their supporters in front of the Supreme Judicial Council," pointing out that "the proposal to form the committee has been crystallized significantly by all parties and therefore it will be implemented if positive signs of tenderness arrive." to receive the commission.
He stressed that "the framework is making great efforts in order to get out of the government formation crisis. He also directed all parties to adopt the language of calm and to stay away from escalation because the stage requires that."
