Iran provides military aid and weapons to the Kurdish Peshmerga forces
Erbil / obelisk: The President of Iraqi Kurdistan, Massoud Barzani, on Tuesday, for his forces received arms and ammunition from Iran in order to counter the threat of the "Islamic state".
Barzani said in a joint press conference with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in Arbil, the capital of the Kurdistan region, and attended "obelisk" that "Iran supplied Iraqi Kurdish forces with weapons and ammunition," adding that "the Kurds demanded weapons and that Iran was the first country to provide them with."
The Iranian Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli had said earlier that his country received a request from Iraqi Kurdistan to help them in their war against al "Daash" has responded to this request, which includes military assistance to the Kurdish Peshmerga forces.
