A statement by the Presidency of the Republic received by Alsumaria News stated that "Saleh praised the ambassador's efforts during his period of work in Iraq to develop relations between the two countries, wishing him success in his future assignments."
The statement added that "the meeting discussed the bilateral relations that unite the two countries and the need to work to strengthen them in various fields, especially the economy and investment, in a manner that serves the interest of the peoples of the two friendly countries."

The President of the Republic, Barham Salih, received today, Thursday, at Al-Salam Palace in Baghdad, the Japanese Ambassador, Suzuki Kotaro, on the occasion of the end of his work in Iraq.
