    [size=45]A high-ranking official in the Ministry of Agriculture stated that two substances had been used to counter the spread of hemorrhagic fever in Iraq.[/size]
    [size=45]The Director General of the Veterinary Department, Thamer Al-Khafaji, said in a statement to (Al-Mada), that "the Ministry of Agriculture is concerned with controlling the hemorrhagic fever disease, which recorded many infections this year, some of which ended in death."[/size]
    [size=45]Al-Khafaji added, "The tick is the main carrier of the disease, and two substances are currently being used to combat this insect, the first is (deltamethrin), which is an organic phosphorous substance." The animal leads to the killing of any insect on its body, including ticks.” Al-Khafaji explained, “The veterinary departments, which are represented by 15 veterinary hospitals in Iraq with 230 veterinary clinics and 925 opportunities, worked for a period of three months continuing until the present time to eliminate this insect and control indiscriminate slaughter. Which is also a carrier of the disease.” Al-Khafaji went on to say, “The department recommends that the consumer not buy meat except from slaughterhouses that are healthily approved by the Veterinary Department, which makes sure that these meats are fit for human consumption.”[/size]
