Economy News - Baghdad
The Minister of Transport, Nasser Al-Shibli, said, on Thursday, that the suspended train project, which he described as "the dream of the Iraqis", will extricate the capital, Baghdad, from the "bitter reality" it suffers from.

The Ministry of Transport said in a statement, "The Minister of Transport, Captain Nasser Hussein Bandar Al-Shibli, received today, Thursday, the French ambassador to Iraq, Eric Chevalier, to discuss the implementation of the suspended train project."
The statement quoted Al-Shibli as saying that "this project is one of the important projects in the capital, Baghdad, as it will remove the bitter reality that the capital Baghdad suffers from, which is the traffic jams and the large number of cars and their importation. ".
The meeting also touched on "many important aspects that focused on joint cooperation in several areas related to transport and contributing to facilitating the preparation of projects and proposals that serve the two countries."
The Minister of Transport stressed that "the ministry is continuing to study the mechanism for implementing the project to reach tangible results that will realize the dream of the Iraqis."
