NATO stands ready to intervene militarily in Iraq at the request of Baghdad
Follow-Iraq-Presse -27 August / August: The Secretary General of NATO Anders Fogh Rasmonsn, Wednesday, ready for NATO to intervene militarily to help Iraq and on the elimination of armed groups, if requested by the Iraqi government.
Rasmonsn said in a press statement that "NATO is ready to help Iraq militarily," noting that "Iraq's request to strengthen this partnership larger, I think that the NATO allies will look to this request in a constructive manner."
Rasmonsn added that "the international community's responsibility to stop the advance of the armed groups," expressing his welcome at the same time to "air strikes on the militants" .. Anthy.v.
