Oil Minister Ihsan Abdul-Jabbar Ismail confirmed that Iraq issues its full quota within the OPEC Plus agreement.
A ministry statement stated that Oil Minister Ihsan Abdul-Jabbar chaired the monthly crude oil pricing meeting, indicating that the meeting was held in the presence of the ministry's undersecretaries, the Director General of the Oil Marketing Company SOMO, and a number of directors of the relevant authorities.
The Minister of Oil affirmed Iraq's commitment to export its full quota established under the OPEC agreement, and to work with the members of the organization and its allies from outside OPEC to achieve balance in global markets.
He explained that Iraq aims to increase its production and export capabilities in the coming years, by promoting investments in the oil and energy sector, pointing to the importance of investments in sustaining and strengthening Iraq's position among the producing countries, and maintaining its influential position in the energy market.
The Minister of Oil stressed Iraq's commitment to support global investments in the oil and energy sector, and to fulfill its financial and contractual obligations, pointing out that the ministry is intensifying its efforts to expand the volume of global investments in free and associated gas, and that its plans aim to achieve this in cooperation with reputable international companies.
