[size=45]An informed source in the Sulaymaniyah Court of First Instance revealed to ( Draw ), “At the request of Lahore’s lawyer, Sheikh Janki, the lawsuit filed against the President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Bafel Talabani, was transferred from Sulaymaniyah to Erbil. The lawsuit is related to the events of July 8, 2021, internal to the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan and the aggravation of the differences between Sheikh Janki and Talabani, those events that later led to the exclusion of Sheikh Janki from the joint presidency of the party and his exclusion from the membership of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan permanently, as Bafel Talabani accused his cousin Sheikh Janki of trying “Poisoned” and the latter accused Talabani of “overturning legitimacy.” From a legal point of view, the case file has not yet been resolved, and according to the information obtained by Draw, The lawsuit filed against Talabani, includes two main axes, the first axis, “Sheikh Janki accuses Talabani of seizing his powers as a joint head of the party, and the second axis relates to the appropriation of financial expenses for him as a joint head of the party by the students.”[/size]
[size=45]At the end of last August, the leadership council of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan held a meeting and it was decided to officially cancel the joint presidency system and choose Bafel Talabani as party leader.[/size]
