"Money" of the Food Security Law ignites a dispute between the governor of Dhi Qar and the Governorate Reconstruction Fund
Shafaq News / An informed source in Dhi Qar revealed today, Wednesday, the reasons for the dispute between Governor Muhammad Al-Ghazi, a number of officials in Baghdad and the Provincial Reconstruction Fund.
The source told Shafaq News Agency, "The reason for the dispute between Al-Ghazi, the director of the news center, Jaafar Al-Wanan, and officials in the Dhi Qar Reconstruction Fund, is due to the disbursement of food security law funds to the governorates."
The source added, "Dhi Qar's share of food security funds amounted to 800 billion Iraqi dinars, distributed between 200 billion dinars for the Dhi Qar Reconstruction Fund, and 600 billion dinars within the development projects of the regions."
He pointed out that "the fund demanded that an amount of 600 billion dinars be added to its balance in order to be able to manage the governorate's projects, on the pretext that the governor and his administration failed," noting that "the governor of Gaza has started to move at the level of higher authorities to file a complaint before the competent authorities."
