Hammam Hammoudi: The framework seeks a full-fledged and acceptable government preparing for elections in Iraq
Shafaq News/ The head of the Iraqi Islamic Supreme Council, Hammam Hammoudi, confirmed on Wednesday that the coordinating framework, which includes Shiite political forces, seeks to form a government in Iraq with full and acceptable powers, preparing for early elections in the country.
This came during his meeting with Elbrus Kutrashev, the Russian ambassador in Baghdad, and they discussed political developments and ways to enhance stability and overcome crises, according to a statement issued by Hammoudi's office.
During the meeting, Hammoudi indicated that the framework forces are seeking to find a government with full powers, acceptable to all, to prepare for new elections, and to serve the people according to a sober program, stressing that the current crisis is still within safe limits, and that everyone is keen on dialogue and maintaining community peace. .
The two sides discussed Russian economic cooperation with Iraq, the expansion of investment activity, the repercussions of the war in Ukraine, and opportunities for stability in the Middle East, according to the statement.
