Member of the Al-Fateh Alliance, Waad Al-Qaddo, confirmed today, Friday, that there is a real and collective will on the part of the members of the House of Representatives to resume holding parliament sessions as soon as possible.
Al-Qaddo said in an interview that was followed by “Taqaddam”, that “there are news about proposed dates for holding the parliament session, which are the twenty-sixth or twenty-seventh of this month, but the Presidency of the House of Representatives has not officially determined the matter yet.”
He pointed out that "Iraq needs to restore the legislative and oversight role by resuming the parliament's sessions."
Al-Qaddo pointed out that "the agreement on the position of the first deputy speaker of the House of Representatives obtained a preliminary agreement on the personality of Mohsen Al-Faili, and there was a consensus on it, but he was met by the rejection of the independents, and there are still negotiations to convince them of the personality proposed by the coordination framework."
