Dollar sales rise in the Central Bank of Iraq auction

Shafaq News/ Cash sales of the dollar increased in the Central Bank of Iraq auction, on Monday, while foreign remittances decreased.
Shafak News Agency correspondent stated that the Central Bank sold today, during its auction to buy and sell the dollar, 200 million and 960 thousand and 169 US dollars, which it covered at a base exchange rate of 1460 dinars per dollar.
And our correspondent added that the cash purchase of dollars by banks increased from the value of total sales to reach 48 million and 550 thousand dollars, after it was 10 million and 850 thousand dollars on Sunday, while the rest of 172 million and 410 thousand and 169 dollars went to enhance balances abroad on Form of transfers and credits.
He pointed out that 33 banks have met requests to enhance balances abroad, and 17 banks have responded to cash requests, in addition to 204 mediation companies.
