Erbil (Kurdistan 24) - The head of the Kurdistan Democratic Party bloc in the Iraqi parliament, Vian Sabri, stated that the "Kurdish Democratic Party" is ready to participate in any alliance that serves the people of Kurdistan and preserves their rights, noting that the two main Kurdish parties have not yet reached a final agreement on a position Presidency.
On the sidelines of her participation in the fourth forum of the Al-Rafidain Center in Baghdad, which is sponsored by Kurdistan 24 satellite channel, Sabri confirmed that the participation of the Democratic Party in the sessions of the Iraqi parliament to choose the president of the republic and form the government, "will be on the basis of its constitutional rights."
In a related context, the head of the Democratic Party bloc pointed out that the agreement with the coordination framework "will be on the basis of understanding on general political issues in Iraq and the rights of the Kurdistan Region, such as the budget, the Peshmerga, Kirkuk and the disputed areas, and activating the constitution."
And the spokesman for the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Mahmoud Muhammad, said in a press conference: "The Democratic Party and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan are still in the talks stage, and so far they have not reached a final agreement on a joint candidate for the post of President of the Iraqi Republic."
