After an extension.. 11 independent deputies refuse to attend the parliament session
Shafaq News / 11 independent deputies in the Iraqi parliament announced that they did not attend the council session scheduled for today, Wednesday, hours after a similar decision taken by the representatives of the extension movement.
A statement written by 11 deputies, received by Shafaq News Agency, stated: "Based on our national principles, which we announced in advance before the last elections, in achieving the desired change, building a state of institutions, and moving away from the traditional methodology in managing the state for 19 years that brought calamities to our honorable people. Which some are trying to consecrate at this critical stage as well.”
The statement added, "In order to give an opportunity to form a strong independent government far from the traditional parties capable of leading the country to safety and initiating real change, we announce our refusal to attend the parliament session on Wednesday and our rejection of the consensus approach and quotas, and we will not be part of the current conflict."
