Earth News/ The Director of Customs at the Iranian Khosravi border port with Iraq, Mahdi Abbassian, announced the export of 410 million 808 thousand and 430 dollars of Iranian goods to Iraq during the first half of the current Iranian year (started on March 21), which shows an increase of 41 percent compared to the same period last year.
Abbassian said that the weight of exported goods in the first six months of this year amounted to 991,362 tons, a growth of 52 percent compared to the same period last year.
He explained that most of the commodities exported during this period included fruits, vegetables, dairy products, building materials, tiles, cakes and biscuits.
He also pointed to the increase in the total transit trade in the first six months of this year through this port to transit destinations to 38 thousand and 725 tons of goods worth 45 million and 810 thousand 401 dollars, which is equivalent to a growth of 1,784 percent in terms of value and by 572 percent by weight compared to the same period last year.
Abbassian announced that about 45,000 trucks passed through Khosravi's official border in the first six months of this year.
