The increase in foreign remittances sales of dollars in the auction of the Central Bank of Iraq
Shafaq News/ Foreign remittances sales of the dollar increased at the Central Bank of Iraq auction, on Sunday, compared to cash sales, by more than 87%.
Shafak News Agency correspondent stated that the Central Bank sold today, during its auction to buy and sell US dollars, 221 million and 443 thousand and 250 US dollars, which were covered by the bank at a base exchange rate of 1460 dinars per dollar.
Our correspondent added that 87% of these sales went to enhance balances abroad in the form of remittances and credits, which amounted to 196 million and 843 thousand and 250 dollars, while the rest went in the form of cash sales, which amounted to 24 million and 600 thousand dollars.
Our correspondent pointed out that 32 banks have met requests to enhance balances abroad, and 10 banks to meet cash requests, in addition to 147 mediation companies.
