[size=45]Kurdistan Parliament Speaker Riwaz Faeq discussed on Sunday ways to strengthen diplomatic relations between the Kurdistan Region and France.[/size]
[size=45]This came during her meeting with the head of the Committee on Foreign Relations and Defense in the French Senate, Christian Camon, during which they discussed a number of files.[/size]
[size=45]A statement issued by the Kurdistan Parliament's media office stated that the two sides shed light during the meeting on parliamentary work, public freedoms, human rights, coexistence and equality between the various religious and national components in the Kurdistan Region.[/size]
[size=45]Cambon stressed the need to strengthen parliamentary relations and diplomatic cooperation between France and the Kurdistan Region, as well as the exchange of experiences between the parliamentary committees of both sides.[/size]
[size=45]Rewaz Faeq touched on the historical relations between the Kurdistan Region and France, especially the support of Daniel Mitterrand after the uprising of the Kurdish people, and considered it a memory that will never be forgotten. She also praised France's role in supporting the Kurdistan Region and its support in the war against ISIS terrorists, according to the statement.[/size]
